Located in Desert Hot Springs, California, CPV Sentinel Energy Center is an advanced 800MW natural gas-fired electric generating facility providing enough peak-time electricity to serve the equivalent of 640,000 homes across the state.

Developed and 25% owned by privately-held Competitive Power Ventures (CPV), the facility came online in May 2013, and features eight GE-built "quick-start" aeroderivative gas turbines, and supplies power under a long-term power purchase agreement to Southern California Edison.

The facility’s third equity holder with a 50% share, is Diamond Generating Corp. and affiliates, which are the units Mitsubishi.

Serving as an advisor, Guggenheim Investments will also offer Voltage Finance administrative and operational services in connection with the financing of the transaction.
