Under the contract, signed with China National Offshore Oil Corporation Limited (CNOOC), Technip and COOEC will provide two tension leg platforms (TLPs) for the Liuhua 11-1 and 16-2 joint development project located in the South China Sea.
Technip, as key technical partner to COOEC, will perform the FEED work of China’s first two tension leg platforms.
The contract also includes design and engineering of the topsides, including two drilling rigs, hulls, mooring and riser systems.

Work under the contract, which will be implemented by Technip at its operating center in Houston, Texas, US, is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2015.
Technip has industrial assets in 48 countries and operates a fleet of specialized vessels for pipeline installation and subsea construction.
