The three-year service contract, awarded by Statkraft, extends an existing agreement and includes emergency support as well as preventive maintenance for one onshore and two offshore substations.
Featuring 88 wind turbines, the Sheringham Shoal wind farm generates enough electricity to power around 220,000 homes while eliminating about 500,000t of CO2 annually.
Alstom will also be responsible for the supply of disconnectors, 132kV and 33kV gas insulated switchgear, 132kV and 33kV 90MVA transformers, a 132kV 60MVAr shunt reactor, substation automation and telecommunications systems and protection.
The scope of the contract includes 24/7 rapid response to the customer.
Alstom Grid service vice-president Jan Masschelin said: "Alstom designed and built the onshore and offshore substations for the wind farm in 2011 and maintained it since then through on demand support.
"Our local team will bring its experience in servicing high voltage substations, even located in a difficult environment, to ensure optimal asset performance and reliability to our customer."
The 317MW wind farm is owned by Statoil, UK Green Investment Bank and Statkraft through joint-venture company Scira Offshore Energy.
