Before the end of 1998, 48 butterfly valves ranging in size from 350mm to 1200mm will be delivered to the Al Hidd desalination plant, currently under construction in Bahrain.
The valves will be supplied by UK-based Hopkinsons, part of the Weir group, in a contract worth over US$950,000. The contract was placed by Fisia Italimpanti of Italy.
