Suzlon Energy Tianjin, the Chinese subsidiary of Indian wind power firm Suzlon Energy, has signed two new contracts with power project developer Jingneng Group for delivery of 100MW of turbine capacity by May 2008.

The first order calls for a delivery of 33 units of the S82 1.5MW turbine, and the second for 40 units of the S64 1.25MW turbine, translating to another 50 MW of capacity.

Suzlon has made significant contributions towards the development of wind energy in this market and this order brings us a step closer to enable China to meet its new renewable energy targets.
