As per the contract, Rolls-Royce will provide three industrial Trent gas turbine compression packages to Dolphin Energy each with 52MW capacity.
The three new Trent units will be added to Dolphin Energy’s Processing Plant in Ras Laffan, Qatar, which already uses similar six Rolls-Royce packages since 2006.
Rolls-Royce Energy president Andrew Heath said, "The supply of three new Rolls-Royce Trent gas turbines to Dolphin Energy is testimony to the six units already installed on the project."
Dolphin Energy has also signed a TotalCare long-term equipment service agreement with Rolls-Royce.
