Under the contract, Power Machines will design, manufacture and supply four units, each comprising an adjustable-blade turbine complete with automated control system, a hydrogenerator with excitation system as well as auxiliary equipment to the customer.

The company will also be responsible for the installation of the units at the 320MW plant, which is scheduled to be commissioned between 2015 and 2016.

The project, which is a compensating reservoir of Bureyskaya HPP and the second plant of the Bureyskiy hydropower facility, will have an average annual output of 1,650 million kWh.

Besides electricity generation, the project will also help in levelling of irregular discharges from Bureyskaya HPP during the day, and preventing from human settlements flooding.
