Japan’s Overseas Economic Corporation Fund (OECF) is to provide Malaysia with a US$9M loan to finance engineering services for the Pahang-Selangor raw water transfer project.
The project will enable the region to meet growing water demand and to tackle water shortages as the main river basin can no longer meet demands. The project will require the construction of dams in Pahang state and a water transfer tunnel.
