Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo has declared that the Federal government is to construct a hydro power plant in Adamawa State to boost the country’s power generation.
The President said the new power plant will compliment the three main hydro plants in Shiroro, Jebba and Kianji, which currently accommodate roughly 20% of Nigeria’s power needs.
He made his announcement after inspecting China’s Three Gorges project.
