The agreement will allow the Calumet to expand the distribution of asphalt products into New York state and surrounding markets in the country.
Calumet Specialty Products Partners president and COO Jennifer Straumins said the asphalt sales from company’s Northern refineries have been routed to customers in mid-continent and western markets.
"Through this agreement, we will seek to supply substantial volumes of asphalt to previously untapped markets throughout the Northeast," Straumins added.
Calumet, which has 12 facilities in US, processes crude oil and other feedstocks such as lubricating oils, solvents and waxes, as well as produces fuel products including gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.
