Phil James has agreed to extend his service with AGL and resume the role of group general manager of retail energy while the company completes a number of critical phases of Project Phoenix (currently scheduled to complete in September 2008).
In due course, a search will be undertaken to find a replacement to lead AGL’s retail operations post-Phoenix implementation.
Mr James will have accountability as project sponsor for delivery of the business benefits associated with Project Phoenix, a project of which he was the chief architect. His role as project sponsor will be in addition to his broader responsibilities for managing the retail business.
