Hamon Group confirmed as major player in the Waste to Energy Air Cooled Condenser Market with a 2nd order from Acciona

Hamon, through its Spanish brand Esindus, has been selected by ACCIONA Construction Australia Pty Limited, for the design, supply and delivery of the Air Cooled Condenser for the new Energy from Waste Plant in East Rockingham, Australia.

The East Rockingham Waste to Energy project addresses two major challenges in Australia: delivering sustainable and affordable solutions for both electricity generation and waste management.

Australia disposes over 23 million tonnes of waste to landfill every year, with Western Australia having the highest waste generation rate per capita coupled with the lowest recovery rate.

The East Rockingham Waste to Energy plant will process up to 330,000 tonnes of residual waste per annum and recover energy to produce 28.9 MW Power.

Owned by John Laing (40%), Masdar/Tribe (40%), ACCIONA  Concesiones (10%), and Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI), (10%). , the project will be the second large-scale Energy from Waste (EfW) facility in Australia, with a large environmental benefit for the country.
