Yokogawa will provide CENTUM VP integrated production control system to monitor and control the ship’s LNG tanks and loading and unloading facilities.
The control system will also monitor the supply of gas to the DFDE, as well as power to other driving units.
The ship, which is a Moss-type LNG carrier, will be used to transport LNG from an onshore LNG processing plant that is being built, as part of the Ichthys LNG project.
The LNG carrier, which is expected to start operations by the end of 2016, will include a dual fuel diesel engine (DFDE) that burns both fuel oil and gas.
