Colorado to get power boost in RFP
Xcel Energy has announced it is looking for bids on about 2,500 MW of new generation in Colorado through to 2013. The company wants both new and existing independent sources as part of an request for proposals (RFP) for which bids are due by 17 May. Successful bids will be announced by the first quarter of next year, with the first projects coming online by mid- 2007
