According to the Daily Times, hydro power generation at Mangla reservoir in Pakistan has been halted as WAPDA stops water releases from the dam following a request from the Indus River System Authority.
The Punjab asked the water regulatory body to bar WAPDA from daily water releases from the reservoir, as the releases were from its share and the province did not need any more water at present.
