The contract – the largest individual order in the power plant overhaul project – will involve work on KHR’s four hydro plants. The Sils (4x60MW) and Baerenburg (4x55MW) plants use vertical high-pressure Francis-units, the Ferrera project uses horizontal pump-storage units with motor-generators (3x63MW turbine capacity, and an overall pumping capacity of 90MW), while Thusis is a two unit small hydro power plant (2 and 4MW respectively).
