Located in the metropolitan area of Santiago the project will feature two run-of-river plants – Alfalfal II and Las Lajas.

Scope of the contract includes the construction of power houses besides recognizing the complete electromechanical scope – turbine and generator, the engineering, manufacturing, erection and commissioning.

Voith Hydo will also provide project management services in partnership the client – AES Gener.

Chile currently has a target of generating a greater share of energy from renewable sources with 50% of it currently generated from hydropower.
