The contract with Puget Sound Energy covers the Whiskey Ridge, Wild Horse, and Hopkins Ridge wind projects in Washington state.
The projects feature a mix of 214 V80 1.8MW and 22 V80 2MW turbines, which Vestas will service through 2025.
Vestas provided services at all three sites since their inauguration and the extended deal includes a time-based availability guarantee that supports optimal turbine utilization and productivity.
The service contract includes the Vestas Active Output Management (AOM) 4000.
PSE director of wind resources and asset management John Mannetti said:"PSE is excited to continue our excellent partnership with Vestas.
"They’ve serviced these sites from the beginning of our wind program, and we’re glad they’ll be continuing to work with us as our assets progress through their lifecycle."
Vestas sales and service division president in the US and Canada Chris Brown said: "Extending this service contract speaks to the strong partnership between Vestas and Puget Sound Energy. Since 2005, we have provided world-class service for their fleet of Vestas wind turbines."
Vestas sold first wind turbines in the US in 1980, and established its North America subsidiary in 1981.
The company installed 11,879MW of turbines in the US by the end of the third quarter of 2014.
