Vestas gets wind turbine supply contract for German power projects

Vestas has received an order to supply turbines for various wind energy projects in Hessen, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania and Brandenburg in Germany.

The company will supply 12 units of the V112-3.0MW turbine and 32 units of the V90-2.0MW turbine.

Delivery of the turbines, which have a total generating capacity of 100MW, is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2011.

The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines as well as a VestasOnline Business SCADA system.

According to Vestas, the V112-3.0MW turbine has been designed for low and medium wind speeds.
