Trina Solar will supply 105,560 of 270W monocrystalline DC05A.08 Honey M silicon modules for the plants to meet the 1.4 Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROC) deadline in March 2015.

Camborne CEO Declan Mackle said: "This is a significant milestone for Camborne and sPower as we move to the construction phase of the first nearly 30MW of projects."

SPower and Camborne signed a collaborative agreement in September to invest in solar projects in the UK. They have since acquired various sites and awarded EPC and panel supply contracts.
The partners acquired a 6.5MW solar PV project from Hive Energy, and a 7MWdc project from RGE Energy UK in October.

SPower CEO Ryan Creamer said: "While we are pleased with the quality and speed of our joint UK acquisition and construction achievements thus far, there is still a tremendous opportunity to develop projects in advance of the looming deadline. We can’t – and won’t – let off the gas for even a minute."
