Total Gabon, which is involved in the exploration, excavation and sale of oil and gas, has reported a net income of $251 million for the first half of 2008, a 36% increase, compared to $184 million for the same period of 2007.

Total Gabon’s equity share of operated and non-operated oil produced stood at 60,200 barrels per day during the first half of 2008, a 6% decrease from the 64,300 barrels reported in the same period of 2007.

First-half sales amounted to $1.05 billion, up 48% from $706 million in the first half of 2007. Capital expenditure totaled $239 million for the first half of 2008, nearly twice the amount in the first half of 2007.
