The RO drinking water is providing services for a major US military base at an undisclosed location in the Africa/Middle East region.

The project, which began in 2009, was officially commissioned last week by the military.

As a subcontractor, ThermoEnergy supplied the equipment, installation, quality assurance and testing.

The RO water recovery system pulls brackish water with high-solids content from wells that are influenced by volcanic contributions and seawater intrusion, and it then processes it into safe, potable drinking water.

The system will serve military and civilian personnel as a permanent water source.

ThermoEnergy is engaged in the worldwide development, sales and commercialization of patented and proprietary municipal and industrial wastewater treatment and power generation technologies.
