The project, which is slated to be completed by the end of 2013, will allow the production of low-sulphur content diesel to comply with new Brazilian environmental regulations.

This contract also covers commissioning, pre-operation and assisted operation of five new process units, including a diesel hydrotreater and a hydrogen plant, as well as all associated utilities.

Technip´s operating center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will be in charge of engineering and procurement activities, while Tome Engenharia will be responsible for all construction activities.
