The five year contract, with an additional five-year extension option, is to provide engineering and project management services to Shell’s offshore project facilities in the East region.

Work scope of the deal includes pre-front-end engineering design, front-end engineering design, detailed design engineering, procurement services and construction management.

Primarily the execution of the contract will be operated from the Technip’s operating center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, however, it will be supported by other operating centers in Asia Pacific.

The agreement further strengthens Technip’s long-standing relationship with its key client, Shell, the company said.

Technip is a project management, engineering and construction company, which also operates a fleet of specialized vessels for pipeline installation and subsea construction.
