IWP&DC’s Contributing Editor Sue Pritchard is attempting another challenge for charity on 19 May. Along with 1000 other cyclists she will be riding a 69 mile circular route through the Kent countryside, starting and finishing at Tonbridge Castle in the southeast of England.

Sue will be raising money for the charity Ataxia UK and will be riding in memory of her father who died of the incurable neurological illness Cerebellar Ataxia in 2009.

Ataxia UK is a charity which campaigns and raises public awareness. It is funding research to help find medication and a cure for this degenerative condition which affects balance, speech and co-ordination; ultimately leaving sufferers wheelchair bound and dependent on others for all their needs.

This is Sue’s second charity venture for Ataxia UK. In April 2011 she ran the London Marathon and raised over £4000.
