St Mary Land & Exploration Company has announced that David Honeyfield, senior vice president and CFO, will resign from the company effective March 21, 2008 to pursue a new opportunity in the mining industry.

The company said that it has begun an external search to identify a replacement for the CFO position. Mr Honeyfield has agreed to assist in the transition through the date of his resignation.

Mr Honeyfield was appointed as CFO in May 2005. He joined St Mary in May 2003 as vice president of finance, treasurer and secretary. Prior to joining St Mary, Mr Honeyfield was controller and chief accounting officer of Cimarex Energy from September 2002 to May 2003.
