Under the agreement, the China-based oil and gas company Sinopec will evaluate IFT’s DiesoLiFT 10 fuel additive, which is a fuel technology that aims to reduce harmful emissions and increase fuel economy.

The technology has consistently performed both in laboratory and in the field.

International Fuel Technology Science and Technology director Sergio C Trindade said that big companies are accepting and taking interest in the technology.

"The growing demand for oil and the ever-increasing environmental pressures and pollution abatement initiatives make DiesoLiFT™ 10 an ideal technology to address these issues," Trindade added.

"Use of our additive in China’s diesel fuel stream would reduce both fuel consumption and harmful atmospheric emissions, including particulate matter."
