Science Applications International (SAIC) has won a contract from the US Department of Energy (DOE) to provide environmental clean-up services to the Office of Environmental Management (EM).

The multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a five-year period of performance and an estimated maximum total value of $907m for all awardees.

As per the contract, SAIC will provide services as required including environmental restoration, waste management, regulatory support, and facility deactivation, decommissioning, decontamination and demolition services.

The mission of the EM program is the environmental remediation of DOE sites throughout the nation.

The remediation of contaminated sites from nuclear weapons research and production and the disposal of the resulting radioactive and hazardous waste is core to the commitment of the program.
