The purpose of the proposed Phase 2 program is to build upon the existing regional wastewater reuse network developed under Phase 1 of the program.
Phase 2 projects would provide additional opportunities for recycled water for agricultural, urban and environmental uses as an alternative to discharging treated wastewater to San Pablo Bay.
The program is a coordinated interagency effort that includes several municipal, water and sanitation agencies located in Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties.
The proposed Phase 2 program continues to advance efforts addressing reliable water supplies, drought mitigation and enhanced environmental restoration.
