The Trilogy System evaporates the produced and flowback water at the well site and thereby lessens the environmental impact of hydraulic fracturing.

A considerable amount of about millions of gallons of water used in the hydraulic fracturing process resurfaces as waste water, and needs to be transported to off-site disposal facilities.

The cost of transportation and disposal of this resurfaced water and its environmental impact can be decreased by reducing the volume of waste water that is done by the system through evaporating and cleaning the waste water.

It can also cleanse air emissions and provides remote water, oil and condensate data-tracking technology.

Earlier, Purestream Technology and SM Energy launched the first Trilogy System in the Marcellus Shale region in August 2010.
