The Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) has unveiled an electric car charging facility in New Jersey.

The new charging facility features 13 electric charging stations, of which eleven are designated for employees’ use and the remaining are used for company electric cars.

Commenting on the new facility, PSEG chairman, president and CEO Ralph Izzo said that the company has been involved in reducing pollution from its power plants and now it focuses on sustainable transportation.

Meanwhile, the company has also launched PSEG Employee Electric Car Incentive Program at three company locations, through which participants will have access to no-cost charging through July 2016.

PSEG Strategy executive vice-president Randy Mehrberg said, "This is a great example of ‘if you build it they will come.’ In just a few weeks since this program was announced, we have had nine people sign up for the program – and most of them have gone out and bought an electric car because of the program."
