Scottish Power’s US energy business, PPM Energy, has signed a deal for the purchase of 300 MW of wind turbines from GE Energy. The turbines will be used in late stage development projects expected to be built during 2006.

Having recently completed construction on its 75 MW Klondike II project near Wasco, Oregon, PPM Energy also expects to complete four other wind projects this year, including the 100 MW Trimont project in Minnesota, the 150 MW projects at Elk River in Kansas, and Shiloh in California, and the 198 MW Maple Ridge project.
