Power Machines has manufactured and shipped the first impeller for Ust-Ilimskaya HPP of EuroSibEnergo. The impeller will be delivered by road early April.
The 87-ton equipment will cover some 6,000 km for less than one month. While at site, erection and installation works will start.
In accordance with the contract, Power Machines will design, fabricate and supply four inward-flow impellers with improved power, cavitation and strength characteristics to the Ust-Ilimskaya HPP and provide supervision installation services.
The delivery of the second impeller is scheduled for October 2016. Supplies are scheduled to complete in Q4 2017, while the fourth unit is scheduled for start-up in Q1 2018.
As a result of replacement with new impellers, the performance of hydropower units will increase up to 96.7% with the design water head of 86.5 m and the hydropower unit capacity of 240 MW.
Supply of new impellers to the Ust-Ilimskaya HPP is a part of complex retrofit program of Angaro-Yeniseiskiy cascade, called New Energy as implemented by EuroSibEnergo.
Power Machines is one of the key partners of the program. In 2016 – 2018, the Company will also supply new impellers and transformers (made by Power Machines – Toshiba. High-voltage Transformers) for the Krasnoyarskaya HPP of EuroSibEnergo.
