Nordex will supply and install 19 of N90/2500 wind turbines at the project, which being developed by TCI Renewables for the Italian power plant operator ERG Renew.

The German will install the turbines in spring 2017.

Nordex chief sales officer Patxi Landa said: "We are pleased to have ERG as a customer in this project.

“This highlights the fact that Nordex is once again the first choice among large power plant operators and energy suppliers.”

Nordex noted that for many years now, ERG has been operating Nordex’s N90/2500s in Italy and has plans to use the turbine on 80m tubular steel towers.

It further mentions that the site has high yield of wind with average wind speeds exceeding 9m/s.

The turbines, which have been certified for IEC 1a will be installed, operated and maintained under a 10 year premium contract which includes full service by Nordex from its service point in Omagh.

Nordex has an installed capacity of wind power of more than 18GW spread over 25 markets. The company with its 4500 employees, along with Accionia Wind Power accounted for more than EU3.4bn of sales in 2015.

The company has production sites in Germany, Spain, Brazil, US.
