Michael Baker Jr., Inc. (Michael Baker Jr.), an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation, has received a contract from Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) to provide general technical assistance services throughout the Commonwealth. The contract is initially valued at $3 million with no cap, for a period of two years with three optional years. The contract is typically used to assess abandoned hazardous waste sites under PADEP’s hazardous sites cleanup program.

Michael Baker Jr. will provide a full range of environmental site investigation, compliance, and training services for the six Regional Offices and Central Office of the PADEP. This is the fourth general technical assistance contract awarded to the company from the PADEP with past five-year contracts initiated in 1990, 1999, and 2004.

“PADEP is one of our most important clients, and our re-selection by the Department is a very significant and strategic win for our Environmental Team,” said Ray Wattras, assistant vice president, Environmental Services. “This re-selection demonstrates not just the quality and value of the Team’s services, but the strong reputation we have fostered with this client over the previous contracts.”

Michael Baker Corporation is a US-based provider of engineering and operations and maintenance services.
