A small hydro power project being developed by Idaho Department of Water Resources is scheduled to start producing power in July. Reports claim that the US$5M, 2.9MW Dworshork small hydro project on the Clear-water river, is expected to come in at about US$200,000 over budget. The project will start selling its power to Bonneville Power Administration by 4 August 2000, generating

revenue of about US$1M

annually.

The project has a unique design and will utilise the flow in pipelines to fish hatcheries located 1.6km downstream of the existing Dowrshork dam and hydro plant. (See IWP&DC February 2000, p31).
