Compared with traditional high pressure sodium (HPS) street lights, the Lighting Science’s PROLIFIC Series LED street lights are 50% efficient.
The company’s lighting products will provide more uniform light distribution and increase light levels.
Lighting Science Group’s PROLIFIC Series DBR and LSR4 street lights, complete with wildlife guards, were used to light of the streets of Pleasant Prairie.
The DBR luminaires are compatible with smart grid services, remote monitoring capabilities, dimming, midnight dimming, and occupancy sensors; while the LSR4 fixtures offer a full cutoff optic that meets dark sky requirements.
Lighting Science chairman and CEO Jim Haworth said the company’s PROLIFIC Series LED street lights bring into balance the need to responsibly illuminate roadways and reducing electricity consumption and maintenance cost.
