Irish fuel distributor and independent petrol retailer LCC is continuing to develop and expand its fuel distribution business by acquiring its tenth 'Go' brand service station, according to Petrol World.

Petrol World reported that LCC was started in 1997 as a fuel distribution firm and setup a joint venture with Norwegian energy major Statoil, now StatoilHydro, to build an oil terminal at the Derry opening in the northwest part of Ireland to import oil.

The LCC Group is reported to have grown by 900% since the opening of the oil-import terminal and has steadily expanded its fuel retailing business, becoming one of the top ten fuel distributors in the country, according to Petrol World.

The LCC oil terminal is reported to have a capacity of 88,000 tons of petroleum products and has a fleet of 44 articulated trucks and tankers to service its wholesale and retail customers across Ireland, according to Petrol World.
