To be called Solar Power Adaptor – Generation II (SPA II) it will be an upgraded version of the SPACES, a catalogue of mobile solar power and power distribution products.
Iris Technology president and CEO Edward O’Rourke said the next generation StarPower controller at the heart of the SPA II is a major technological advancement in solar charging, power management and distribution.
"By incorporating elements from our extremely compact, highly successful Merlin family of radio power adapters, our new StarPower sets the standard in solar power controller performance," added Rourke.
In addition, StarPower will have the capability to recharge batteries of any composition and can virtually power all tactical radios.
