The installation, which comprises 25 Gamesa G90 wind turbines rated at 2MW each, will enable the company to progress the development of wind farms in Hungary.
The company’s entry into the Hungarian wind power market fits in with its expansion into eastern Europe. Iberdrola Renovables has 128MW installed in Poland and, in addition, is developing the largest wind power installation in Estonia, with a power generation capacity of 150MW.
