Designing for the Tudaya 2 plant started in 2011 with preliminary exploration and studies conducted in 2010.
The run-of-river facility is downstream from the Sibulan Hydro B as part of an expansion of Hedcor’s existing Sibulan plants.
The project is expected to be commissioned in 2014 and will generate 76GWh og renewable energy.
Davao Light and Power Company and the Davao del Sur Electric Cooperative will purchase the power produced by the project.
