Indian hydro developer and operator Greenko has agreed a EUR77M deal to acquire the 70MW Budhil run-of-river hydropower plant from Lanco Infratech.
The Budhil plant is located in the Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh, near to Greenko’s existing hydro assets. The acquisition will bring Greenko’s total operating hydropower portfolio to 245MW.
Budhil is fully built and is completing its stablisation phase, the company said in a statement.
