Mr Emes has spent the past 13 years as a securities industry professional specializing in corporate finance, with an emphasis on oil and gas financing and advisory assignments. Immediately prior to entering the investment business, Mr Emes spent 15 years as a senior officer with two intermediate sized oil and gas companies, initially in both cases as vice president, corporate development and then as CFO.
As a member of the Alberta Institute of Chartered Accountants, Mr Emes spent five years as a tax specialist at two international firms with an emphasis on oil and gas and cross border taxation. Mr Emes currently serves on the board of directors for Zapata Energy and is an independent businessman.
