GE is collaborating with with Monsson Alma, a wind farm developer, to supply turbines for two wind energy projects in Romania with a total generating capacity of 35MW.

The New York-based firm will provide ten 2.5MW turbines and 10 years of maintenance for the Silistea 1 project to be owned by SC Romconstruct Top.

Additionally, GE will also provide and four 2.5MW machines and five years of maintenance for the Mireasa 2 project, owned by SC Eco Power Wind.

Both projects are about 20km from the Fantanele wind farm, which also is based on GE 2.5MW wind turbine technology and when completed.

Monsson Alma was the original developer of the Fantanele project, which has been acquired by CEZ Romania, a regional utility.
