Under the contract signed with Indian developer and independent power producer (IPP) Greenko, Gamesa will supply, install and commission 80 of its G97-2.0 MW turbines, totaling 160MW.

The company will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all 80 turbines in the long term, as part of the agreement, which is included in a new framework agreement signed by Gamesa and Greenko to commission 300MW wind power projects in India.

Under the contract signed with CLP India, Gamesa will develop a 100MW wind farm at Chandgargh, in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

The company is expected to deliver the turbines during the first half of this year while the wind farm will be commissioned in December 2015.

Gamesa India chairman and managing director Ramesh Kymal said: "These new order wins reinforce our leadership position in India, a rapidly-growing market, and evidence the stock placed by customers in Gamesa’s technology and experience."
