Solar panels manufactured by First Solar will be used in the construction of solar photovoltaic plants in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

Solar Field Energy will receive $23m to construct a 20MW solar facility while Mahindra Surya Prakash will be granted $34.3m to build two solar facilities with a combined installed capacity of 30MW.

Commenting on the loans Ex-Im Bank chairman and president Fred P. Hochberg said that the transactions will help the American renewable energy sector besides contributing to the India’s initiatives to embrace clean-energy sources.
