Swedish wind power consulting company Eolus Vind has named Veidekke as balance of plant contractor for the two wind farms - Kråktorpet and Nylandsbergen in Sweden.

Under the contract, Veidekke will be responsible for the design and construction of roads, foundation and internal electrical grid and communication network for the two wind farms.

The two wind farms have a total capacity of 232MW. Kråktorpet wind farm has a capacity of 163.4MW and Nylandsbergen can generate 68.4MW, featuring 61 wind turbines.

Construction work will begin in this month and is expected to be finished in April 2019.

The two wind farms are located close to another wind farm Jenåsen in Sundsvall municipality. This wind farm is also being constructed by Eolus.

With 23 wind turbines, Jenåsen has an installed capacity of 79MW. Veidekke is also providing construction services for the wind farm, which is expected to be completed in this February.

In December, Eolus Vind has signed an agreement with Aquila Capital to sell the two wind farms for €264m.

As part of the sale agreement, Eolus has agreed to provide technical, operational and administrative services for seven years for both the wind farms to maximize production.

Eolus has placed an order with Danish turbine maker Vestas to supply the turbines for the two wind farms.

Founded in 1990, Eolus Vind is a Swedish wind power developer. The company actively participates in the whole value chain from development of green field projects to construction and operation of the wind farms.

Till now, the company claims to have constructed more than 500 wind turbines, of which majority of them are located in Sweden.
