“EnXco develops, builds operates and manages state-of-the-art renewable energy projects throughout North America,” documents said. “The company has been in operation for more than 20 years. Their work has primarily been in wind energy, but they have expanded to acquire additional focus in solar, geothermal and biomass.”

“The proceeds from the lease will be deposited in the West Mesa Industrial Park Fund. At the end of the lease, enXco must restore the site and the city could further develop the parcel or sell/lease it as is at that time. The project will be responsible for annual personal property tax assessments process through Do-a Ana County.”

Council members have expressed excitement about the alternative energy and green job opportunities at the West Mesa Industrial Park.
