Endesa stated that the projects will be chosen by a committee consisting of members from both parties to the agreement. The investments will go towards regional development and preserving and enhancing the environment.
According to Endesa, these projects will focus on areas of Extremadura which are in most financial need, and will vary in nature, given the company’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility as an electrical utility.
Endesa’s ordinary investments in electric power distribution and generation are excluded from the agreement. For this purpose, a committee will be set up consisting of representatives of the regional government and Endesa, to select projects on an annual basis.
