Constellation Energy owns and will maintain the solar power systems that are comprised of about 5,785 roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) panels.
The solar PV project is expected to generate nearly 1.7 million kWh of electricity per year.
Under a 15-year power purchase agreement, Constellation Energy will sell all of the electricity produced by the solar panels at a fixed rate to the school district.
Located at four school district sites, the solar power systems are expected to generate 42% of the district’s electricity needs.
Constellation Energy is a business unit of US-based energy provider Exelon.
